I know whenever a movie has them hanging skeletons I’m supposed to think “oh no they abandoned them there!”, but all I see is an untidy dungeon, tsk tsk…

Whenever I see them, I always wonder what’s holding the bones together, if all the soft tissues have rotted away. Does somebody go through there from time to time, wiring all the bones back together, to make them look more intimidating?
I would be more intimidated by them leaving all the bones laying around where they fell, after all the connective tissues decayed. THAT would imply a lack of care for the prisoners WAY more than going in just to tidy up the skeletons.
