You don’t want to know
Actually, internet is great to find DIY solutions. But have you ever tried looking for info to ease your mind about that small health issue, to convince yourself there’s no need to go to the doctor? Well, that never works out well for anyone.
And it was the battery, it was time to replace it.
–P.A.
I once used the internet to diagnose some weird thing in my jaw. It took a few tries to get the right word to describe it, and after ignoring all the “tumor” possibilities I actually came across a description that fit what I had and was even caused by something I’d been doing the previous day. It said it was simple, would go away in about a day and nothing to worry about. So I left it a day and sure enough, it was fine afterwards.
Sometimes you can diagnose yourself online, but I was always ready to go to the doctor if it didn’t work out. All the internet convinced me was to leave it an extra day and see if it went away. If it hadn’t, I would have gone to the doctor.
