Plot twist: Eventually a young, pure-hearted adventurer who has no intention of fighting against them shows up… And came trying to conquers Wendy’s heart instead, wouldn’t that be beautiful?
Plot twist: I actually meant for the adventurer’s gender to be left ambiguous so anything works, but it seems like I messed something up on that, my bad. Still, a young, pure-hearted female adventurer for Wendy would be freaking awesome plot twist.

I’m just happy with how people have come up with so many directions this story could go, I’d rather not give preference to just one. There could be more Betty & Wendy in the future, but as it is, it might not hold up to expectations! We’ll see. Thanks all for your nice comments.
YES the woman comment made me so happy. I think that Betty should remain friends with the dragon and they go to visit her often. And they’re one big happy family and Wendy goes to help more princesses or princes or nonbinares seeking their true love.

I’ll look forward to any and all Betty & Wendy in the future, no matter the direction it takes. You fill up with imagery and creativity, and we put the imagination and nonsense to it XP.
Or the plot twist could be that her parents have come to save her and inform Betty she doesn’t have to ever get married if she doesn’t want to and they’ve bought her the entire DVD set of Doctor Who.
Or the plot twist could be that her dog or cat has traveled miles and faced many dangers because they can’t stand to be away from Betty any longer. After all, pets have been known to travel thousands of miles to find their families.

Ultimate plot twist: No pure-hearted adventure ever comes. But then there’s Wendy, always protecting Betty, flying off to get supplies for them, just being there. Betty’s pure-hearted, Wendy’s pure-hearted. They’re made for each other! On one said you marry a princess, in the other you marry a dragon, it doesn’t get any more awesome than that!
