Overall I’d say a short break is always beneficial and does wonders for your art. But as with any skill, being away for extended periods will most definitely set you back!
How about this, for a couple days draw what you want, when you want. Something that you will never show to anyone else and don’t have to worry about anyone else judging it.

‘You’ve been put on an attendance awareness program because you used two sick days last month’
