CVC (acronym for “Quality, Value and Convenience” in spanish) folded very shortly afterwards: it didn’t even reached the full year. Since most items were imported, recession hit the channel hard and was never to be seen again.
Me and my friend might be alone in this, but we were heavly indoctrinated by Nintendo’s official magazine on the dangers of removing cartridges while a console was still on. I remember cringing and dying a little inside when I saw my cousin changing games that way on his SNES (just pushing the reset button afterwards). Maybe it was a common practice and the odds of damaging the cartridge were always slim, but to us it was always a HUGE no-no.
Have a nice day!
